A timeperiod in Business Functions is a length of time in a projections function. It is defined by a date signifying the start, and a base which signifies the length in months. This variable is the base of a timeperiod and is a number of months. It has to be an exct number of months, because a timeperiod of a fractioanl number months is difficult to envisage accurately. Because a timeperiod can also be defined as a start date and an end date, you can also input a date for base. The function will know the difference between a number of months and a date, so you can input either. But take care: if you use a date to define base, and therefore the end of the time period, note that timeperiod in Business Functoins exclude the finish date. So a timeperiod that runs from 1st Jan to 1st July represents the days from and including 1st Jan up to and including 30th June. |
