|BF"s GoalSeek uses Excel"s Goalseek facility, but it adds a couple of new facilities:|
The use of a function to specify the GoalSeek parameters is quite powerful:
- You can have a cell reference for the Target Value (Excel"s requires that you input a number).
- You specify the GoalSeek inputs (TargetCell,TargetValue,ChangingCell) through a function, GoalSeek.
- You can store the specifications of the GoalSeek with the model, right there in the spreadsheet. You just have to write a note to use the Business Functions GoalSeek and your users will be able to use the GoalSeek you set up.
- You can have a number of GoalSeeks within a workbook, and an optional parameter in GoalSeek enables you to specify the order in which these GoalSeeks are to be performed.
